Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland (although it's not the largest city there--Glasgow is largest).
The two big highlights of Edinburgh are the Edinburgh Castle high above the city, and the Fringe
Festival held every August where hundreds of performances are found at dozens of venues
throughout the city. The day we arrived in Edinburgh was the only day that it rained hard all day.
